This Atlanta suburb among the top-10 cities nationally that millennials are moving to

According to the report, 10.81% of the city's population are millennials who recently moved.

SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. — One metro Atlanta suburb is among the hottest cities in the country for millennial movers, according to a recent report.

The report compiled by the website smartasset.com placed Sandy Springs as No. 10 in the country for percentage of population consistently of millennials who recently moved in.

According to the report, 10.81% of the city's population are millennials who recently moved. 

The No. 1 such city is Cambridge, Mass. followed by Santa Clara, Calif., Seattle, Sunnyvale, Calif. and Denver.

The report also lists the total number of millennials who've moved into town - 11,210 in the case of Sandy Springs - and millennials' percentage of a city's total population. For Sandy Springs, that comes out to 32.05%.

Followed right behind Sandy Springs is another Georgia city, Savannah. According to the report, 10.45% of Savannah's population consists of recently-moved millennials, or 15,303 in total.

Of Sandy Springs, the report said:

 "Sandy Springs rounds out the top 10 with new millennials representing 10.5% of the total population. The number of millennials who moved there in 2022 was 11,210. The city also had the highest median age in the top 10 at 39.5 years."

Among the top-20, Seattle (41.15%) and Austin, Texas (40.42%) have both the highest percentage of millennials among their populations as well as the most recent millennial movers (103,461 for Austin and 93,302 for Seattle).

At the top spot, nearly 15% (14.74%) of Cambridge's population is composed of recently-moved millennials. 

Ahead of Sandy Springs and Savannah, rounding out the top 10, are Arlington, Virginia at No. 6, Bellevue, Washington at No. 7, Killeen, Texas at No. 8 and Austin at No. 9.
