On Monday, rapper Jeezy visited his hometown of Hawkinsville and donated iPads to five kindergarten classrooms at Pulaski Elementary School.
The donation was in collaboration with the rapper's non-profit organization, the Street Dreamz Foundation, and was the launch for their technology initiative.
Jeezy and the foundation said it was important to launch this initiative in Hawkinsville, because it 'will always be a special place' for the rapper and his family.
The Street Dreamz Foundation was founded in 2001. Their goal is to help underserved communities around the world and encourage at-risk youth.
Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, also spoke to each kindergarten classroom individually, saying, "It does not matter where you are from or how small your town is... anything is possible if you dream and believe. The sky is the limit.”
