MACON, Ga. — Bibb County voters will vote on at least four County Commissioners this year and they'll have plenty of choices.
A dozen people are running for these four open seats.
In District three - East Bibb County Everett Slay, a school para pro, Melvin Flowers, a county employee, and ad-agency owner Stanley Stewart are running to replace Elaine Lucas.
In District Four, Joseph Hulett was the only candidate to qualify to replace Mallory Jones.
In District Eight, the candidates are Danny Angelo, who's self employed, Donice Bryant who is a sheriff's deputy, entrepreneur Kim Jenkims, and support coordinator Michele Parks are running.
Continuing in District Nine, retired educator Brendalyn Bailey, retiree Greg Turner, consultant and property manager Renoalada Scott, and retiree Tom Hudson are running for Al Tillman's old spot.
Those aren't the only commission races though. Architectural historian Caitlin Mee is challenging Seth Clark in District 5.
George Thomas wants to unseat incumbent Ray Wilder in District 6.
Finally, Aubrey Barfield, a CFO, and Michael McKeever, a program manager, are running against Bill Howell in District 7.
In addition to commission races, there are also races for school board, water authority, mayor, and sheriff in Macon-Bibb.
One of the races is for the Macon Water Authority, where businessman Marshall Talley is running against Desmond Brown, who has been under criminal investigation for over a year. Talley owns the restaurant and bar Vibez in downtown Macon.
There's also a race for the Board of Education District 2. Barbara Pike, a home editor, is challenging the incumbent Kristin Hanlon.
