MACON, Ga. — The Bibb County Coroner is asking people to “pray for our community” after the fourth suicide of the year.
Coroner Leon Jones was at the scene of the alleged hanging, the Murphy USA on Harrison Road, on Friday morning.
He says the man went to the bathroom at the gas station around 7 a.m.
Another man tried to get into the bathroom shortly after and found the door was locked, so he called the sheriff’s office.
Deputies broke into the bathroom and found the man had hanged himself.
Jones says he was a white male in his early 40s, and that he’s now trying to find the next of kin.
Jones also asked people to ‘pray for the community.’
