A Greek restaurant franchise will open a restaurant in Warner Robins on Friday.
Director of Operations Mark Forcinio says Pita Street Food serves food like gyros, homemade falafel, chicken shawarma and more.
"We have our brand new rice bowls that we're offering," he said about the menu. "The greatness of the Pita without the Pita bread."
Forcinio says Pita Street Food started back in 2011 with its Peachtree City location. The franchise has now grown to 19 stores including the Warner Robins location.
He mentioned that when he started working with Pita Street Food two years ago, there were only four locations. "After our fifth store, we started franchising."
On Friday, the new restaurant in Warner Robins will offer free food from 6 to 9 p.m. Anyone who stops by will be able to choose from a traditional euro, chicken euro or falafel with any side of their choice. Drinks will also be available at no charge.
Pita Street Food is located at 3030 Watson Blvd. in between Orange Theory Fitness and Aveda.
