Picnic in the Park Food Truck Festival kicks off in Carolyn Crayton park on Saturday

Folks were in good spirits as they listened to live music and visited food trucks.

MACON, Ga. — Folks dusted off their lawn chairs and grabbed their picnic blankets to spend Saturday morning in Carolyn Crayton park.

Macon Bibb Parks and Recreation hosted the second annual Picnic in the Park Food Truck Festival with over a dozen vendors for folks to try.

It was the eight event overall since the Rec Department began hosting them.

In addition to food, there was also live music for kids and families to listen to while they ate, along with 2 bounce houses.

"Our goal in Recreation is to Build Healthy Communities Through People, Parks and Programs," says Senior Administrative Assistance Kalyn Collins. "Our Picnic in the Park Food Truck Festivals are a great way to support local vendors, foster community engagement, and facilitate cultural exchange."

The event lasted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
