MACON, Ga. — Folks hit the courts for the UTR Sports Macon Open Golden national Qualifier at Rhythm and Rally Sports & Events on Saturday.
The venue is the world's largest indoor pickleball facility, and welcomed pickleball enthusiasts from across the country.
When searching for a location in this region, UTR Sports stated "We wanted a world class facility and Rhythm & Rally in Macon, GA is that!"
The tournament began on Wednesday, and will run through Sunday, June 2. It is one of only 13 qualifying tournaments.
Winners of this tournament will receive Golden Tickets that allow them to pre-register for the 2024 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships on November 10 - 17 of this year.
Other tournaments that will be hosted at Rhythm and Rally include the US Senior Pickleball National Championship on July 12-14th, and the World Pickleball Tour has already scheduled their 2025 Amateur Invitational Championship to be hosted in Macon in January 2025.
