CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ga. — Two death investigations are underway in Crawford County.
Someone found a woman's body on Smith Chappel Road near Hope Road on Thursday. That is off Highway 80 which is west of Lizella.
Coroner Sheldon Mattox says that death is being investigated as a possible homicide.
But there is another death being investigated near the Flint River, Mattox said.
Mattox couldn't comment on that case. and could not say if there were any signs of foul play. He said his deputy coroner is investigating the death.
The GBI is also investigating that death.
We reached out to the Crawford County Sheriff's Office for more information, and we are waiting to hear back.
