An 18-year-old was killed in a single-car accident in Byron Saturday.
According to Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks, it happened around 8:30 p.m. on Moseley Road.
Rooks said it appears 18-year-old Raekwon Smith was driving when he lost control of the car in a curve, and it overturned. He was pronounced dead shortly after the accident.
Smith had just started his senior year of high school and played football for Peach County High School.
Three others were also in the vehicle, but the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
The road was blocked following the accident. Peach County 911 dispatchers said it was cleared shortly after midnight.
