There were four people in the car and two were minors.

CRISP COUNTY, Ga. — A woman is arrested and charged after a chase and crash in Crisp County, according to the Sheriff's Office.

On Saturday around 10:20 p.m. a deputy attempted a traffic stop on a black Honda Accord on GA 401/I-75 near mile marker 104 North.

The deputy was stopping the car for improper registration and after running the tag number the deputy determined the cars registration and listed driver's license was suspended. There was also no listed insurance on the car and the driver was wanted.

When the deputy came up the car and initiated contact with the driver, the driver fled the scene and continued speeding.

The release says the car was going over 130 miles per hour and driving recklessly.

The driver hit another car and lost control in Dooly County. They say the car flipped multiple times and stopped against a guardrail on GA 401/I75 near mile marker 116 North.

There were four people in the car and two were minors.

All four occupants were transported to Crisp Regional Hospital by Dooly County EMS.

The driver, 35-year-old Whitney Jones of Camilla, was taken to the Crisp County Detention Center after being released from Crisp Regional Hospital.

Georgia State Patrol is also investigating the crash.

The two minors were released from the hospital and the other passenger remains hospitalized.

Jones has two active warrants. One from the Mitchel County Sheriff’s Office and another from the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office for felony probation violation. Jones’ criminal history includes five felony convictions.

Jones faces two counts of cruelty to children in 2nd Degree, fleeing or attempting to elude, speeding in excess of maximum limits and two counts of child youth restraint not used properly in addition to multiple other traffic violations.
