Sunday night, the Telfair County Sheriff's Office halted a contraband of drugs from reaching the Telfair State Prison.
According to a Telfair County Sheriff's Office Facebook post, several officers, along with the state prison staff, intercepted a batch of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana, and tobacco that was headed towards the prison.
The Facebook post noted the "excellent work" of Warden Hall and the staff at Telfair State Prison who "have proven to be invaluable in our local efforts in keeping our community safe and secure."
