WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — Students headed to prom got to pick out their dresses on Saturday as part of a prom gown giveaway hosted by Northside High School in Warner Robins.
They gave away over 100 dresses for students going to prom, along with shoes and other items.
The school partnered with Houston's Family Engagement coordinator to provide dresses and other items to students who may not otherwise be able to afford to attend the big dance.
Teachers and faculty members at the school all gathered to help students try on their dresses and shop for other accessories.
The giveaway started during the 2018-2019 school season and has grown ever since.
All the dresses and jewelry were donated by the community, and the shoes were donated by Sole Shoes by Christs Nelson.
They also had food there, all donated by the teachers.
