MACON, Ga. — Nearly 150 apartments, retail, offices, a parking garage and more could be coming to downtown Macon.
It is being proposed as the ‘Gateway 75’ project.
Developer G. Scott Thompson said he plans for 146 apartments, 356 parking spaces and 7,000 feet of retail and office space, in his application.
The project would be six stories tall and around 250,000 square feet.
Macon’s Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to review the project on August 12.
If they approve the project it will be built on the 500 block of D.T. Walton Way, behind the Macon-Bibb Government Center.
Atrium Health Navicent, H&H, the First Baptist and Saint Joseph’s churches, Capricorn Records and other downtown landmarks are also nearby.
We reached out to Thompson on Wednesday and he declined to comment.
