DUBLIN, Ga. — Additional details have been released in a shooting that happened over the weekend in Dublin that left three injured.
The police report says around 11:49 p.m. Sgt. Chris Edmond was patrolling the area of South Jefferson Street and Madison Street when he heard gunshots near 110 East Jackson Street.
Edmond saw several people running on South Jefferson Street and he alerted 911 dispatch.
The report says Edmond then heard more shots from the backside of a club on Madison Street and more shots from South Franklin Street near the city parking area.
When he got to South Franklin Street, Edmond heard several more shots and saw people running to their cars.
Edmond then got out his car and tried to find the people who were firing guns but was unable to because of the size of the crowd leaving the scene and people driving recklessly, the report says.
When the shots stopped, Edmond was told that a training officer fired a shot at someone who fired shots at him. The person who fired shots at the training officer left the area. The GBI was called in to investigate because the training officer fired a shot.
"At this point, there is no information to indicate that anyone was shot by the officer. " the GBI said in a release.
A 32-year-old woman and men ages 19 and 17 went to Fairview Park Hospital with gunshot wounds.
