CRAWFORD COUNTY, Ga. — Crawford County's top teacher loves notebook checks! That means he's making sure his students are doing their work.
Mr. David Rodriguez has been teaching for nine years. Three of those years have been at Crawford County Middle and High School, teaching 6th grade social studies.
He teaches his students about the history, cultures, and environment of countries around the world.
He says he loves having a good time in the classroom and showing his students innovative ways to explore social studies.
"I get the chance to be creative and have fun in the classroom and I guess my students love to have fun in the classroom as well." Mr. Rodriguez said. "I get to use different ways to teach social studies which is an interesting topic in the first place."
Addison Carroll and Waveland Lesak teamed up to write emails nominating Mr. Rodriguez.
They agree that while he can be a little strict, he makes up for it by being real with them!
"He is honest, and he does assignments to help us learn easier." Waveland said.
"He also has very special nicknames for his students. He would never lie about anything to us. That is why we want him to be on My Teacher is Tops." Addison said.
