82-year-old missing Laurens County man's truck found in Spalding County

Garland Warren was last seen wearing blue jeans and a camouflage shirt.

SPALDING COUNTY, Ga. — The car of a missing Laurens County man was found in Spalding County, according to a Facebook post from the Spalding County Police Department.

They say 82-year-old Garland Warren's car was found at the Dollar General on Jackson Road and North McDonough Road.

He may have left the area on foot with a small dog, the post says.

Warren was last seen wearing blue jeans and a camouflage shirt. His family says he has dementia.

On Monday morning, 20 groups split up into different parts of the county to search, including agents with the FBI and GBI and other agencies and volunteers.

Warren's been missing since early June.

People continued to search for him in planes, on foot, in cars, and even on four-wheelers.

"All these people have volunteered to come and help. It means a lot," said Tina Harrison, Warren's niece, during the search. "We're just, we're just scared to death for him."

Harrison said they found out about her uncle's dementia about six months ago, but said they never saw any signs of extreme confusion from him.

"Not sure if it was something else wrong, but he- I mean, he has a few moments, but then he's fine," Harrison said.
