MACON, Ga. — An 18-year-old woman who disappeared last Monday may have been killed, according to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
Gabriella Dixon went missing in 900 block of Pinehill Drive last Monday. The very next day, her family began raising concerns and asking questions.
In a missing persons report, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office says her 2-year-old daughter told family members that "Mommy was in blood."
Last Tuesday, a Bibb County deputy tried to call Dixon, but they were not able to reach her.
That's when Dixon's mother, Gaby Searcy, says they knew something was wrong.
"I end up calling the police around 2:30 p.m., 3 o'clock between that timeframe because I was trying to confirm," she said. "Okay, I called my children first. My older daughter, they go to Fort Valley. [I asked] 'Hey, have you all talked to Gaby today, did you come pick her up?' And they're telling me no."
The news put Searcy on edge.
"At that time I was in high alert," she said.
The Bibb County Sheriff's Office tells 13WMAZ that the investigation is ongoing. In the missing persons report, they named a suspect but, as of now, no charges have been filed.
