Man dead after crash in Milledgeville, caused by apparent medical emergency, deputy coroner says

According to Baldwin County Deputy Coroner Stephen Chapple, the crash happened around 10 a.m.

BALDWIN COUNTY, Ga. — A Milledgeville man is dead after a crash in Baldwin County, according to deputy coroner Stephen Chapple.

Chapple said the accident happened on U.S. Highway 441 between Log Cabin Road and Meriwether Road around 10 a.m. on Friday.

He said that Clifford Nobles, 70, apparently suffered a fatal medical emergency, which caused the crash. According to Chapple, Nobles' Hyundai Santa Cruz rolled off the highway and overturned.

The crash slowed traffic on the highway for several hours, however, it appears to have been cleared, according to Georgia 511. The crash is still under investigation.
