Baldwin County Airport celebrates 60 years

Plane and hot air balloon rides were available for kids to enjoy

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. — In Baldwin County Saturday, people took to the sky to celebrate the airport's 60th anniversary.

Small plane rides were available for purchase, and hot air balloon rides were available for a small donation. All proceeds went to the Baldwin County Treatment Court.

Emergency personnel were onsite in case of any injuries.

Manager of Sinclair Aviation, Bruce Hood, says Saturday's event was all about the kids.

"The kids really enjoy just coming out and just looking and touching and feeling airplanes, and I want to bring kids to this organization and flying in general, because it's such an exciting career," he said.
