HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Classes at a Henry County elementary school witnessed a touching reunion on Friday after a military father surprised his children at school.
The surprise reunion took place at Timber Ridge Elementary School. The children, one in second grade and the other in third, were left speechless as they saw their father after what must have felt like an eternity.
"I'm just grateful to be home and that my kids are glad to see me," Patrick Otis, U.S. Army staff sergeant, said.
Otis has been serving the country in Poland for 10 months, and he's back in time for Easter weekend and spring break.
"So they'll get to spend some time with daddy," Otis said.
With two kids in separate classes, the surprise had to be done twice.
"Daddy! I missed you," his daughter said, running into his arms.
