Macon County Coroner's Office confirms man dead at Macon State Prison

Keith Green, who was around 44-years-old, was serving a life sentence for murder out of Chatham County

MACON COUNTY, Ga. — A man was found dead at Macon County State Prison, Deputy Coroner Eddie Hosley says.

Keith Green, who was around 44-years old, was serving a life sentence for murder in Chatham County.

According to the Georgia Department of Corrections website, he committed the crime on January 25, 2019 and was arrested sometime that year.

Green was arrested for voluntary manslaughter and aggravated assault in DeKalb County in 1996.

Hosley said that they could not reveal more information on Green's death.
