Man charged with making contraband drop at Wilcox State Prison

Corrections K9 handlers tracked the man down after the alleged drop

WILCOX COUNTY, Ga. — State corrections officers have arrested a man accused of trying to smuggle contraband into Wilcox State Prison.

The Georgia Department of Corrections posted a picture to their Facebook page saying the man was spotted outside Wilcox State Prison early Monday. A K9 team tracked him down near the prison.

The Wilcox County Sheriff's office says he is Quoizel Monte Jones. He faces several charges tied to crossing guard lines with weapons and drugs or alcohol.

He's now being held at the Wilcox County Jail.
