FORT VALLEY, Ga. — A man was arrested in the murder of Vintavious Sanders in Fort Valley in early May, according to a Facebook post from the Fort Valley Police Department.
They say that Johnquavis Rutledge was arrested on Wednesday in the May 6 murder. Sanders survived a few more days but died on May 8.
According to previous reporting, Sanders was shot at a club party in the 100 block of East Main Street around 11 p.m. He was shot in downtown Fort Valley, but he was from Warner Robins.
Rutledge was charged with Murder, and he was taken to the Regional Youth Detention Center in Macon.
