Macon's 'Thriller' dance parade to roam the streets this Saturday

At 9 p.m., dancers from the Hayiya Dance Theatre will hit the streets to perform to Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

MACON, Ga. — This Halloween weekend offers lots of spooks and scares around Central Georgia, including a thrilling performance Saturday night.

That's when you can check out the Halloween Street Party and Zombie Parade at Tattnall Square Park.

The festivities kick off at 7 p.m.

You can bring a chair to watch the parade or try some of the games, food trucks, and dancing.

Then at 9 p.m. sharp, dancers from the Hayiya Dance Theatre will hit the streets to perform to Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

13WMAZ checked in Thursday night as the dancers performed their final rehearsal ahead of Saturday's performance.

"This is our 16th event and it's as always bigger and better, and it's the one time of the year we  all come together just to have some fun in the streets of Macon celebrating the spooktacular-ness of Halloween," said director Pilar Lowden.

The street party keeps going even after the performance until around 10 p.m.

Admission is free for everyone.
