MACON, Ga. — A Warner Robins man is behind bars for allegedly killing a 28-year-old woman in west Macon back in March, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
They say Tyrell Shernard Burks, 30, was arrested Thursday in the death of Shantoria Hines back on March 17 on Maynard Street. In the original release, they believed it started as an argument, but it eventually ended with gunfire ringing out.
Another woman, 26-year-old Kreo Montgomery, was shot, the press release said.
They were both taken to the hospital in personal vehicles where Hines would die from her injuries.
Burks was booked into the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center on one count of murder and four counts of aggravated assault, according to the jail roster. He was arrested by U.S. Marshals.
The press release does not offer any information about the circumstances of the shooting death.
If you have any information, you can call the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME or the sheriff's office at 478-751-7500.
