UPDATE, 12:30 p.m.: The driver killed in a fatal accident on Sardis Church Road on Tuesday morning has been identified as Cody Thigpen, 30, of Macon.

UPDATE, 11:59 a.m.:A driver was killed at about 10:22 a.m. Tuesday when her Mitsubishi Mirage slammed into a Chevrolet Suburban on Sardis Church Road.
According to a news release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, the driver of the Suburban, Carol Ward-Braswell, 42, of Macon, had a green light and was turning left from Sardis Church Road to the on ramp of Interstate 75. Her truck was struck by the Mirage that was heading east on Sardis Church Road, the news release states.
The Mirage driver was killed. The driver's name was not released pending notification of family members.

Bibb County emergency crews are on the scene of a fatal accident on Sardis Church Road near Interstate 75.
That's according to Bibb County coroner Leon Jones.
The Georgia Department of Transportation says two lanes of Sardis Church Road are blocked at I-75 and a ramp to the interstate. Drivers should avoid the area..
The Bibb County sheriff's office says no further information is available right now.
