UPDATE: An incident report from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office says 40 to 50 teens trashed the Walmart around 1:45 a.m. Sunday.

The report says the length of the store, from front to back, was lined with items "that had been shattered, destroyed, turned over and thrown about."

A police officer who viewed store video also said it showed the crowd pulling a man from an electric wheelchair and throwing him to the ground.

Bibb County Public Information Officer Lieutenant Randy Gonzalez says, "This is the first I've ever even heard of anything like this occurring in Macon in all my years of law enforcement."

Gonzalez says each person involved will likely face a couple of charges including, inciting to riot, and criminal damage to property.

The video showed Kharron Green entering the store first, showing gang signs and then showing the crowd following him, according to the report.

An employee told officers that Green told them that the group planned the event to see how much damage they could cause. He said the group came "the south side."

Green faces an additional charge of street gang activity since he threw up gang signs as he entered the store.

A store manager estimated damage at $2,000.

An officer who arrived on the scene said he saw the large crowd scatter and leave in many different vehicles.

One teen was arrested and police are looking for a "large group" of others who ransacked a Macon Walmart early Sunday morning.

According to the Bibb Sheriff's Office, at 1:50 a.m., a large crowd of teens entered the Walmart on Zebulon Road, and ran down the main aisle, pulling merchandise off the shelves.

Investigators say when the teens reached the back of the store, they ran down the opposite aisle pulling more items off the shelves.

The group of teens then ran outside and left the store in multiple vehicles.

One of the participants, Kharron Nathan Green, who's 17, of Macon, was identified by deputies and arrested when he returned to the scene to pick up his cell phone, which he had dropped during the riot.

Green was charged with inciting a riot and second degree criminal damage to property.

He was taken to the Bibb County Jail, where he was released on a bond of $3,700.

Investigators are reviewing surveillance footage to identify others involved and make additional arrests.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
