The 8 a.m. trip on the Nancy Hanks Special train had a slight hitch Saturday.
Brent Lambert, the passenger sales manager for the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, said there was a freight train that was broken down in front of the Nancy Hanks train so the train had to bring its passengers back to Macon. Train officials with the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum also posted the notice on its Facebook page.
Train officials said the passengers who bought tickets for the 8 a.m. trip have three other options: a full refund, another chance to take the trip Sunday at 8 a.m. or going to Chattanooga, T.N. to receive credit for another ride.
According to train officials, tickets are sold out.
