Marilyn Malloy, the wife of 13WMAZ anchor Frank Malloy, was charged Friday with driving under the influence after an accident in June.
The Bibb County jail web site says she was booked around 10 a.m. Friday.
She was also charged with a traffic offense, failing to maintain lanes.
She was seriously injured on June 2 when her car went down an embankment off Rivoli Drive at Wesleyan Drive and hit a tree.
No one else was injured.
A Bibb County arrest warrant says GBI tests estimated her blood-alcohol level at .333 -- four times the limit.
The arrest warrant on the traffic violation cites a witness that said Malloy swerved off the road, then back on and off again before hitting the tree.
The witness told investigators she was afraid of being hit head-on and stopped in the roadway to avoid a collision.
Marilyn Malloy has undergone surgery since the wreck and is expected to make a full recovery.
She was released Friday morning on a $2,500 bond.
Frank will not be at the anchor desk Friday so he can be with his family.
