MACON, Ga. — A man has died exactly a month after getting injured while helping a stranded motorist in Macon.
Deputy Coroner Luann Stone says doctors pronounced 53-year-old Jose Casiano dead around 11:30 Friday morning at a Macon intensive care unit.
Casiano was injured exactly a month before on Nov. 6 as he and another man tried to help push a stranded motorist out of the road.
The crash happened at 4790 Riggins Mill Road in South Bibb County.
Stone says that another car hit both the men while they were helping the motorist, sending Casiano to the intensive care unit for over a month before his death.
She says the other man survived.
