The Beth Yeshua Temple in Macon has brought a piece of Israel to Macon.
The front of the synagogue is now home to stone prayer wall.
The temple held a service in dedication of the wall that included singing and dancing.
The structure stands at 15 feet tall and 80 feet wide, and is a replica of the Western Prayer Wall in Jerusalem.
Along with the wall is a prayer box where people can write out prayers on a sheet of paper and place them in the box.
Architect of the structure, Lance Pilgrim, says the prayer will not be read but will be prayed over by members of the synagogue.
Pilgrim also says that the wall isn't just for members of the temple, but can be used by anyone in the area.
"The one thing that we wanted to accomplish here is open arms and have everyone feel welcome to come in and pray without us
being intrusive. Without membership or without denomination, but just to pray and spend some time alone and meditate at this
wonderful wall," says Pilgrim.
