Jack in the Box eyes Macon, Augusta and Savannah as it opens first Georgia locations

As the company announces its first move into Georgia, a single line in its announcement suggests Macon could be on its list.

MACON, Ga. — The fast food chain Jack in the Box seems to have Macon on its mind as it announces its first moves into the Peach State.

A press release from the company announced a deal to open 15 Jack in the Box locations in Georgia — and they say the growth in the Macon area has caught its attention.

It's too early to know exactly where the brand intends to open its 15 Georgia locations. In fact, they say they currently only have a "development agreement" with a major franchisee.

But in the release, they say Macon is on its radar as it eyes where to place the new locations.

"The new sites have not been selected, however they will be strategically located across Georgia with a focus on the growing markets of Macon, Augusta, and Savannah," the press release said.

While the chain has locations in southern states like Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Kentucky, the chain has not yet opened a location in Georgia.

The West Coast brand is known for its classic fast-food fare and late-night hours. The press release says that the new locations will be open 24 hours a day.

They have many of your quintessential fast-food offerings including chicken tenders, burgers, milkshakes, breakfast and more.

But if you want to be the person behind a Macon or Georgia Jack in the Box, the company is inviting people to throw their hat in the ring and possibly become a franchise owner. They say you can find out more information about how to start a franchise here.

The press release says a "major-unit franchisee" made a commitment to open the 15 new locations in Georgia. Across the country, Jack in the Box has roughly 2,200 locations.
