Bryron police arrested a father and son accusing them of scamming drivers and the elderly with a car repair scam.
Police said Timothy Crow and his son, Robert Crow, would spray brake fluid behind people's back tires and then tell the drivers they have a brake-line leak and that the car is dangerous to drive.
The men, according to police, would charge the travelers $50 to $100 to fix the line until the drivers can get to a repair shop.
Detective Melanie Bickford said the two men have scammed as many 15 drivers since Thanksgiving. The incidents happened on spots just off Interstate 75, in Bibb, Houston and Peach counties.
Timothy Crow is being held at the Bibb County jail and Robert Crow is in custody at the Peach County jail. The men are facing charges in multiple counties, according to a Byron police news release.
Police are asking people who may have been scammed by the pair to call (478) 956-2493.
