Comedian Mike Epps spoke to the kids about loving yourself.

Comedian Mike Epps came to Macon to bring laughs to the Centreplex Saturday.

But before he took the stage, he took some time to bring smiles to a group of local kids.

Epps surprised them at the Georgia Industrial Children's Home in Macon.

The home is the residential facility for foster children who, in many cases, have nowhere else to go.

Epps told the kids success begins with loving yourself and asked them what they wanted to do when they grow up

"You know, every city I come to, I always realize there's a lot children that have misfortunes, at-risk children," says Epps, "So I thought I'd come to this home and talk to these kids and give them a little encouragement, a little knowledge on how I made it so they can make something out of themselves and at least show by example that they can do something themselves."
