MACON, Ga. β The Chick-fil-A on Zebulon Road, after a six month hiatus, is back.
The restaurant, which announced it's initial closing in May, has been under construction for a remodel. However, after some time, they'll be reopening and ready to serve once again on Nov. 21.
The fast food location, which had been open since 1998 according to their Facebook, closed temporarily to give the store front a refresh and modernize it like several Chick-fil-A locations across Central Georgia and the country have already done.
According to their Facebook posts, they initially planned to return in December, but have moved their opening date up nearly a full month. They'll make their return just before Thanksgiving and the likely return of the peppermint milkshake and other winter offerings.
Before closing, the restaurant held up signs stating that they'll be "back better than ever," and in a week, they'll have an opportunity to do just that.
The store was completely remodeled, which included store owner Craig Craddock tearing down the building itself, which can be viewed below.
According to the restaurants' Facebook, they've created a completely new parking lot, set up new walls and a brand new building and have redone the interior.
On Oct. 23, they announced that they would be reopening on Nov. 21. Since then, they've continued to advertise, including putting up signs for when the restaurant would reopen its doors.
For those excited to revisit one of their favorite restaurants, Macon and Monroe County natives alongside anyone wanting to make the drive can pull up in the store or the drive through starting at 10:30 a.m. and enjoy Chick-Fil-A after the half a year hiatus.
