Macon students paint 'windmill of hope' at STEM camp

The painted windmill is for SOAR Academy so students can see it on the first day of school.

On Wednesday, children with the Mentor's Project STEM Camp painted a windmill to help give students a little boost for the new year.

The painted windmill is for SOAR Academy so students can see it on the first day of school.

June O'Neal with the Mentor's Project says it's all about sharing your gifts with others.

"It's just not all about us learning something, when you learn something, you grow and share, and we got quotes from Dr. King, and it's all about inspiration and something can be functional and usual as well as beautiful," O'Neal said.

The Mentor's Project is always looking for new volunteers.
