Macon State Prison inmate killed during fight with cellmate

He was found dead on Monday in his cell.

OGLETHORPE, Ga. — A Macon State Prison inmate was killed during a fight with his cellmate, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. 

They found Kenneth Malcom dead in his cell on February 12. His body was turned over to the county coroner and will be taken to the GBI crime lab to determine the official cause of death. 

The death is being investigated by the Georgia Department of Corrections Office of Professional Standards. 

Malcom was in prison on a Murder charge out of Walton County. He had been sentenced to life without parole.
