MACON, Ga. — A man has been arrested in the killing of 34-year-old Jerry Lewis Burke back in late August, according to a press release from the Bibb County Sheriff's Office.
They say that, just before 2 p.m. on Friday, U.S. Marshals and the Bibb County SWAT team assembled at a house in the 1500 block of Williamson Road.
They were there to arrest 27-year-old Keenan Devonte Andrews. The shooting happened at the Circle K on Pio Nono on Aug. 30.
In the incident report, they say Burke was found laying on his back and had a bullet "protruding in his abdomen but was not a through and through shot."
Andrews was charged with murder and booked into the Bibb County jail, the sheriff's office said. He does not have bond.
Additionally, they say Andrews was wanted on robbery, simple battery and cruelty to children charges. He also faces probation violation charges, the sheriff's office said.
The investigation is ongoing, the sheriff's office said. If you have any information, you can call the Bibb County Sheriff's Office at 478-751-7500 and the Macon Regional Crimestoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
