MACON, Ga. — A big Christmas dinner kicked off Saturday afternoon at the annual Fire department Christmas meal.
Since 2014, Santa and his friends have delivered food to the firehouse at 5077 Northside Drive in Macon as a thank you for all their service.
Folks could join Santa at the cul-de-sac at N Springs Court and caravan to the fire department.
Santa and Mrs. Claus brought the turkey and ham, and his friends provided lots of side dishes to round out the meal.
They also showed up with dishes, utensils, drinks, and desserts as well.
They said it was their way of showing appreciation for the sacrifices firefighters make on a daily basis.
