MACON, Ga. — Thanksgiving may be over, but the holiday traffic is only getting started in downtown Macon.
Some businesses in the area have received an influx of customers over the past 5 days.
Barefoot Tavern in downtown Macon is one of them.
They say they had their work cut out for them last week.
Will Shuman is a bartender at the tavern. He says last week was hectic, but today is just the eye of the storm.
"Come back out and touch grass you know and actually talk to people now and not feel enclosed and home anymore so it's been nice," he said.
Barefoot Tavern says they are extending their business hours through December due to traffic and time change.
