MACON, Ga. — L.H. Williams Elementary School is on a two-hour delay after a power outage early Thursday morning, according to the Bibb County School District.
The school district says power has been restored to the building but they will continue with the plan to delay schools by two hours in order to let the heat circulate through the building.
Buses will run exactly two hours later than usual for student pickup and morning drop-off will also run exactly two hours late.
They ask parents to please not drop any students off at the normal time as they want to make sure the heat has enough time to circulate through the building following the early morning outage.
This move is also to allow the operations and nutrition team time to prepare and get things ready for students.
