Juneteenth Spelling Bee wraps up at Douglas Theater

There were three winners.

MACON, Ga. — Saturday wrapped up the final rounds of the Juneteenth Spelling Bee at the Douglas Theater.

Children of all ages participated and were asked to spell the names of African countries.

11-year-old Karmen Hill was on of three winners.

She says the words were difficult to spell, but it helped her learn more about the meaning of Juneteenth.
