MACON, Ga. —
InTown Macon kicked off the 2022 Holiday Tour of Homes on Sunday, where they highlighted 9 beautiful and historic homes and 4 churches.
Folks had the chance to tour the homes and take in some of the beautiful architecture of years past.
High Street Church and Saint Joseph Catholic Church decked the halls with holiday cheer for all to see.
Lots of people came out to take in the decorations and learn a little about Macon's history.
Deedra Jordan Hardrick, who toured the buildings, said that it makes Macon's history come alive.
"I've always been fascinated with the history of Macon with the older homes, and since my son hadn't grown up here like I did, I wanted to share with him some of the homes that I got to visit during the tour of homes when I was growing up," she said.
The tour is a celebration of the architectural history of Macon's oldest residential area and is the largest fundraiser for InTown Macon, a non-profit organization dedicated to historic preservation and residential quality of life.
