Special agents with the Georgia Department of Corrections are investigating the death of a Telfair State Prison inmate.
According to a news release, Chad Jacobs was pronounced dead around 11:30 p.m. Sunday.
Agents are investigating it as a suspected homicide because they believe he died from injuries sustained during a fight with several inmates.
Jacobs was sentenced in Franklin County in 2014 for trafficking meth.
Another inmate was killed during a fight at the prison in May.
