Houston County voters 75 and up or disabled can 'skip the line'

Voters who received this benefit says it's good for their health.

HOUSTON COUNTY, Ga. — Houston County is open for early voting at their four polling locations, including the main office, the health pavilion, and Central Georgia Technical College.

If you are 75 and older or disabled, you can skip to the front of the line as long as you're eligible to vote.

Voter Henrietta Faulkner says she can't stand for too long, so this makes voting for her easier. She says it only took her five minutes.

"I think it's wonderful. I have arthritis in my arms and legs," Faulkner said.

For everyone else, the line is pretty long. However, Noreen Speedone says it's worth the wait.

"I think it's fantastic," Speedone says. "It just goes to show that people are very adamant about having their voice heard."

Early voting will continue in Houston County until Friday.

You can check the Houston County website for polling locations and time.
