New man in office | Meet the new principal of Warner Robins High School

The new appointee will replace Chris McCook, who is retiring at the end of December. The new principal will take over on Jan. 2, 2025.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. — There’s a principal on the scene at Warner Robins High School.

Dr. Brett Wallace was chosen to be the principal of Warner Robins High during the Houston County Board of Education meeting on Dec. 9. Wallace is currently the principal at Warner Robins Middle School.

“I am honored, humbled and excited to be named the next principal of Warner Robins High School … As a former Demon, this is a homecoming for me, and I’m excited to work for these students and this community,” said Wallace. “Warner Robins High is truly a special place with a long tradition of success, and I look forward to rejoining the Demon Family.”

Warner Robins High’s current principal, Chris McCook, is retiring at the end of December. Wallace will take over the role on Jan. 2, 2025.

Wallace served as a teacher and coach in Troup and Bibb counties, before making his way to the Houston County School District. He became principal at Warner Robins Middle School in 2012.

Wallace has a Bachelor’s degree in science in education from Jacksonville State University, and a master’s degree from Georgia College & State University.

He is married to Dr. Tonya Wallace, assistant principal at Houston College & Career Academy, and one of their four children is a teacher at Perry Middle School.
