Hank Aaron exhibit opens at the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame

Folks can see stories from Hank's record breaking career, read interviews about his life, and see memorabilia.

MACON, Ga. — Lots of Atlanta Braves fans gathered outside the Georgia Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday to celebrate a baseball legend.

A new Hank Aaron exhibit was unveiled, where folks could explore stories from Hank's record breaking career, read interviews about his life, and see memorabilia from his time on the field.

Guests could hear Hall of Fame inductees Ron Reed and Vic Correll recount Hanks record breaking night when he made his 715th home run on April 8, 1974. The exhibit honors the 50th anniversary of his achievement. 

There were lots of interactive exhibits, along with several interviews with Hank and renowned journalist Phil Schaefer. 

A signed jersey by Aaron sits in the entrance to the exhibit, and lots of people stopped to take photos with it. 

In addition to the exhibit, there were also batting games for kids and adults, swag giveaways by the Braves and Macon Bacon, a Braves photo op, and more!

Hank's Food Truck was also on site serving up hot dogs and drinks for guests to munch on.
