MACON, Ga. — The Georgia Stem Alliance held their first annual middle Georgia stem expo on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Museum of Aviation in their flight hangar.
The Free family filled event celebrated all things science, technology, engineering & math related.
Its goal was to increase awareness for k-12 students, parents, and teachers about stem related educational & career opportunities.
The expo featured over 20 stem partners at the event who provided hand-on activities & demonstrations for the participants.
"This need is very strong especially for the middle Georgia area, for the more rural areas. We want to get these kids introduced to these technology because we're in a new third.. ya know technology innovation. Where we wanna really help these kids figure out which direction they want to go in," said Sedgrid Lewis, PUT WHO THIS IS.
