ATLANTA — Every year, the Georgia Department of Revenue faces the daunting task of giving the green light to vanity license plates, and predictably, there's a reject pile that's more stacked than a Jenga tower in an earthquake.
In 2023, Gotham City wannabes flooded the scene with nearly 10 Bat-fanatics vying for road recognition. Despite the University of Georgia Bulldogs missing out on a three-peat championship, die-hard fans still aimed for DAWGS and UGA-themed plates.
The music industry also took a spin on the rejected carousel, most notably with "TSWIFT," a nod to Taylor Swift. Movies -- in particular "Barbie" -- were also well-represented.
Atlanta-specific entries made the list, with a Divine Nine Black sorority getting dissed twice for AKA and AKA1983.
