PEACH COUNTY, Ga. — This weekend is the 33rd annual Georgia Peach Festival, and despite the spotty rain, people in Fort Valley still came out for the music, food, and, of course, peaches.
On Saturday afternoon, the cooks cut and served up the cobbler fresh to hundreds of people waiting in line.
Some showed up with buckets, cups, and Tupperware to save it for later, while others came from miles away for just a slice of what they call a "good cobbler."
Organizers say the festival will continue on Sunday, rain or shine.
